ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS:
Dealing with the Coronavirus has seriously altered how medical care is delivered. COVID19 is a highly contagious, potentially fatal virus, that is easily spread via air and touch, and people can be contagious without symptoms. Telemedicine visits are offered and preferred when clinically appropriate. Currently, patients and employees are screened for COVID symptoms, and history of exposure or fever. In the office setting, MASKS ARE MANDATORY. Patients and physicians wash their hands prior to any physical contact. UV HEPA air filters are installed in each exam room and about the office. Plexiglass sneeze shields are installed throughout the office. Only patients are allowed to enter the office area - no additional visitors, unless medically necessary. All patients undergoing surgery are required to have a negative COVID test prior to surgery, and to self-quarantine between the time of the test and the time of surgery. These precautions are likely to be necessary for the forseeable future, until there is a reliable vaccine and people are actually vaccinated.
